Minister of Interior Satisfied with Results of Annual Cooperation with Laos

LAOS: The Cambodian Minister of Interior, DPM Sar Kheng, has expressed his satisfaction with the results of the annual cooperation between the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.

DPM Sar Kheng expressed this sentiment while leading a high-level Cambodian delegation to attend a bilateral cooperation meeting between the Cambodian Ministry of Interior and the Laotian Ministry of Public Security, on Sunday, 19 March 2023.

The Minister of Public Security of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR), DPM Vilay Lakhamfong, welcomed DPM Sar Kheng and the Cambodian delegation to his country, before continuing to discuss the results of the cooperation between the two ministries and border provinces in 2022.

DPM Sar Kheng expressed his satisfaction with the results of the annual cooperation between the two Ministries and said he hopes this experience and more regular meetings will continue to improve joint efforts to prevent transnational border crimes and also promote economic and social development in the border areas, along with other important work.

After the meeting concluded, DPM Sar Kheng and DPM Vilay Lakhamfong jointly signed the new cooperation document for 2023 between the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.

DPM Sar Kheng paid an official state visit to Laos from 18-20 March 2023, as a continuation of the annual bilateral cooperation mechanism between the Cambodian Ministry of Interior and the Laotian Ministry of Public Security. DPM Sar Kheng co-chaired the meeting to review the 2022 cooperation results and co-signed a new cooperation document for 2023, for the further implementation of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the two ministries.
